SAY THE ROSARY

Would you like to walk through a fragrant rose garden of love for the Blessed Virgin Mary and her Divine Son, Jesus? You can get there by saying this simple yet powerful prayer! Saint Louis De Montfort, famous for encouraging devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, called the Rosary “a blessed blending of mental and vocal prayer.” He further said we “honour and learn to imitate the mysteries and virtues” of the lives of Jesus and Mary through this prayer.

When you say the Rosary, you can “bond” with our Lord and His Blessed Mother as you reflect on their efforts for our salvation, and on what they endured out of love for each one of us!
During each decade you meditate on the events in the lives of Jesus and Mary.
Pope John Paul II’s Apostolic Letter on the Holy Rosary states, “We need to return to the practice of family prayer and prayer for families, continuing to use the rosary. The holy rosary by age old tradition has shown itself particularly effective as a prayer which brings the family together. The rosary is a treasury to be re-discovered.”
When we say the Rosary we are learning how to “imitate what they [the mysteries] contain and obtain what they promise”.
We pray for strength and wisdom and for the graces the Rosary can give us and others.

Thoughtfulness Blows
They say this world is round, and yet,
I often think it’s square,
So many little hurts we get,
From corners here and there!

But there’s one truth in life I've found,
While journeying east and west,
The only folks we really wound,
Are those we love the best.

We flatter those we hardly know,
We please the fleeting guest,
And deal full many a thoughtless blow,
To those we love the best.

Rules of the Road.
The rule of the road is a paradox quite,
Both in riding and driving alone,
If you keep to the left, you are sure to be right,
If you keep to the right you are wrong.

But in walking the street ‘tis a different case,
To the right it is a right you should bear,
Whereas to the left should be left enough space,
For those whom you chance to meet there.
(Henry Erskins—200 Years Ago)

Your life is UNIQUE...... Do not squander it.
“These years of your life are the years which will prepare you for your future. Your “tomorrow” depends much on how you are living the “today” of your youth. Stretching out in front of you, my dear young friend, is a life that all of us hope will be long; yet it is only one life, it is unique: do not let it pass it vain; do not squander it. Live it with enthusiasm and with joy, but most of all, with a sense of responsibility.”
Pope Benedict to the Youth of Brazil (2007)
